About us

A youth-led movement for justice, equality and sustainable development.

Youth Action for Justice and Development (JYDA Bangladesh) was established in 2024 with the vision of empowering young people to become catalysts for social change.

About the Accountability Tool

Why the tool exists

Citizens experience the gaps in civic services first, but rarely have a documented way to raise them. The Accountability Tool creates a structured, evidence-backed record of complaints, observations and recommendations — so issues can be reviewed, followed up and reported on rather than forgotten.

How it works

A citizen fills in the form with their details, location and photographs. Each submission gets a tracking ID and enters the review queue, where JYDA moves it from Pending to Under Review, Resolved or Closed.

Why participation matters

Governance improves when people speak up consistently. Aggregated citizen reports reveal patterns that a single complaint never could.

Transparency & accountability

Documented data allows honest conversation between communities, institutions and development partners.

Background

About JYDA Bangladesh

JYDA is a youth-led, non-profit organization established in 2024 with the vision of empowering young people to become catalysts for social change. JYDA believes that an organized, skilled and responsible youth community can build a society founded on justice, equality, peace and sustainable development.

The organization was founded by a group of committed young leaders who envisioned a platform where youth can actively contribute to solving social, environmental and developmental challenges — through education, advocacy, capacity building, volunteerism and partnerships.

JYDA encourages active citizenship and believes sustainable development can only be achieved through inclusive participation, innovation and collaboration among youth, civil society, government and development partners.
